I had literally sacrificed a part of my education to get my foodie-fingers on this place.
I took a night off of projects, readings, and an unnatural load of math homework to go out for an evening of laughs and GOOD FOOD. The Alibi Room has been on my mind for weeks now, since I’ve heard rumors of tasty chicken wings and the best beer selection in town hidden out on the skirts of Gastown.
It was diffidently worth the backed-up load of extra work I had to conquer the next day at BCIT. The service was awesome, with friendly staff going the extra mile to make sure you are comfy and satisfied. There was a line-up as predicted for such a popular place but we only had a small group so it was only a 30min wait, usually it’s an hour plus…eekkk! My recommendation would be to book an appointment ahead of time (48hrs before attending).
The waiter had suggested a cheese plate, beet salad and a hummus platter to pair with our 3 orders of the chicken wings. Everything complimented nicely with our multiple beers. Forgive me, for I do not remember the names of them but all the servers have an extensive knowledge with their selection and will be more than happy to help.
I would recommend giving these tangy wings a try if you are planning to make a stop at the Alibi Room. They come fresh with a nice crunch on them with a puddle of sweet, salty and vinegary sauce at the bottom of your plate.
As you can clearly see I was having the time of my darn life - So good, two at a time good!
